Most proud accomplishment the last 8+ weeks from Computer Literacy - WOW what a tough question. I suppose I would say my general "comfort" level with navigating the web as well as becoming more familiar with many technology terms (including blogging) and working on the power point presentation and spread sheet. However, that being said, I still don't really feel proficient at anything!!!! I am generally more knowledgeable and capable of figuring things out. I definitely would like and need more practice at everything though, which I intend to continue. I also really enjoyed the new awareness of how many opportunities their are that are both fun and relatively simple -- like Storybird. Although the pace was very fast, I definitely benefited from the class and am more proficient.

Hi Cindy - Storybird was lots of fun, wasn't it? I look forward to playing with that program again and showing it to the young people in my family! Like you, I also feel more confident about figuring things out now, however some parts of spreadsheets still confuse me. I designed a mailing list of high school alumni on excel, but the math formulas are still a bit of a mystery on regular spreadsheets.
ReplyDeleteWhat are your thoughts about the posted outcome for this computer class? Would you add or change anything? I missed seeing a post from you for last week, so I made a comment on your week seven post. When I think about how I felt about computers on week one, and how I feel about them now, there is a world of difference. I was one of those people who flunked the computer literacy exam, but I think I could pass it now! How about you? ~Nadine
