I actually find the hybrid Marylhurst classes - combo of teacher face to face and technology - a great way to learn for several reasons;
- In the busy lives we live, it makes it possible to adapt the schedule to other aspects of our individual lives
- Face t0 face makes it a little more personal and sets the parameters for those of us who are audio or visual learners
I'm gradually getting more comfortable with the technology piece of it as it relates to learning, i.e.
- scrutinizing content and realizing that anything by anyone could be on the internet
- getting more comfortable with navigating through windows and sites
All in all, the blend of both on-line and class time offers content, direction, and flexibility.
I agree that online has the capability to adapt into our individual lives well and I agree that the face to face aspect of learning is very personal and necessary for those of us who are audio and visual learners.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you are learning the technology and building confidence with it. I believe that confidence is 50% of the battle, the know how is just the other half! I have noticed that the online portion for this particular type of course work may be more difficult for some than anticipated. With that said I applaud you for your ability to find and point out a bright side to what has seemed a dark adventure!
